Page 14: Background: S.T.A.R.S. is an acronym for the Strategic Tactical Advanced Reconnaissance Squad, and is a scouting squad for the S.T.R.I.P.E.S., which is the Secondary Tactical Rapid International Peace Enforcement Squad. These two squads form one cohesive and extraordinarily efficient unit that have been keeping the world's supervillain problem at bay for decades.
